The full Hamish the Hamster experience

Everyone at the DCA on Saturday enjoyed watching the 'Hamish the Hamster' animation. In fact,  the oldest podcaster in the school  had a day out at the DCA...listen to what he got up to. He spoke to the lady who organised the screening, the film makers, the creative team and staff from Blairgowrie High School, the Chief Executive of the Council, the proud parents and friends. But the real star is still Hamish.

Forget Cloverfield. The big movie this weekend was 'Hamish the Hamster' which premiered at the Dundee Contemporary Arts centre in the presence of some notable VIPs, including the Chief Executive of Perth and Kinross Council, the Executive Director of Education and Children's Services and, most importantly, family and friends of the Blairgowrie creative students. We are putting together a complete report from the events...so watch this space...but here is a short snippet of what people were saying after the event. Jonathan Ross obviously missed a treat.

 

Feedback from the Script Writing Day

Blairgowrie High School hosted the script writing day for Modern lanaguages. We invited all the Modern Language teaching assistants to come and join in. The purpose of the day was to write a script in French, German or Spanish that would be made into an animation. We managed to catch up with the assistants and teachers who were involved and asked them what they thought. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. We will posting a couple more recordings from the day and will reveal the winning script...watch this space.
